Activity Descriptions
October Parent and Candidate Meeting
The October 26th or 29th Parent and Candidate meeting is an informational meeting designed to allow the parents and candidates an opportunity to come to a better understanding of the program structure. The Parent Guidebook, and Sacramental Form will be handed out at this meeting.

December 6th or 9th Sponsor and Candidate Meeting
The initial sponsor and candidate meeting will be an opportunity for sponsors to come to a greater understanding of the important role they play in the lives of the candidate. There is more information on the role of a sponsor included in this packet.
Dress: Casual
January 16th or 17th Sponsor/ Candidate Day of Reflection
The Day of Reflection scheduled for mid-January will help further the relationship with the sponsor and the candidate. Candidates should bring their sponsor to this meeting; if sponsors are unable to attend another adult should stand in their place.

Saturday April 24th Into the Street Retreat, 20 volunteers, and all Candidates
This Day Retreat will apply the concept of Christian Service in a very concrete way. Into the Streets is a community service experience where candidates will be placed in small groups and assigned to a specific agency in Grand Rapids where they will perform an afternoon of service. Several adult volunteers are necessary. More Information on this event is included in this packet.
Dress: Appropriate for Indoor / Outdoor Work
Saturday April 24th Covenant Ritual 4:30 pm Mass
At the end of the into the streets retreat, candidates and sponsors will attend the 4:30 pm mass at St. Anthony’s to participate in the convent ritual. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Dress: Not Necessary to change after Into the Streets Retreat
