OASIS: This weekly program is for any high school aged young person and takes place in the Youth Room at St. Anthony’s. Each week allows time for fellowship, fun, topic discussion and prayer. The youth room opens at 7pm and the program begins at 7:30 and lasts until 9pm. Use the back youth ministry entrance. No pre-registration is necessary. Friends welcome.
HIGHLIGHTED EVENTS: All of the highlighted events are unique opportunities for the youth to grow closer to God in a way that is not offered very often. It is strongly encouraged especially to attend any of those events if you are able to do so. These opportunities do not come around very often.
PRAYER FOR PEACE: This monthly prayer service in the Taize tradition takes place at St. Mary Catholic Church in downtown Grand Rapids. We will meet at St. Anthony’s at 7:00 pm then travel to St. Mary’s for the 7:30 service. Participants will be back to St. Anthony’s for pick-up by 9pm. Please download a permission slip under the Youth Ministry section of the Website (first click on Faith Formation, then Youth Ministry). LEADERSHIP TEAM: The High School Leadership Team opportunities are designed for mature teens to develop practical Christian leadership skills and put them into practice through various ministries in our parish. There are two scheduled overnight retreats for young people interested in exploring the dynamics of leadership. Applications for the leadership team can be obtained by speaking with Bob Bacik in the Office of Youth Ministry.
