Support Services
Each child is viewed as an individual created in the image and likeness of God, with unique abilities and gifts. The school strives to meet each child’s needs and stimulate his/her learning physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.
The staff and teachers continually work to assess and meet the needs of every student. Parents, as the first and primary educators, are encouraged to communicate with teachers about special needs and gifts. Within the parameters of the resources available, teachers will differentiate instruction to meet needs, strengthen gifts and ensure that each student achieves his/her full potential.
Many services are available to teachers and students to help in this work, including:
• Accelerated Reading program available in Grades 6-8.
• Advanced Math curriculum available in Grades 7-8.
• Child Study Teams who meet regularly for teacher consultation, classroom intervention, and assessment purposes.
• School Counselor/Social Worker provides full-time support to students, parents, teachers, and administrators regarding academic behavior and social/emotional issues.
