This year, our school is reading <em>The Year of Miss Agnes<\/em> by Kirkpatrick Hill, a heartwarming story about a teacher who inspires her students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beyond our shared novel, <em>March Is Reading Month<\/em> brings exciting activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Figurative Language Fashion Show \u2013 Students get creative by selecting a figurative phrase or idiom and dressing up to represent it in a fun and expressive way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tournaments of Books \u2013 A lively reading competition that sparks enthusiasm for literature.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flashlight Fridays \u2013 A cozy, fun way to enjoy a book! Students bring flashlights and read in a relaxed, dimly lit setting, making reading extra enjoyable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mystery Readers \u2013 Miss Robach&#8217;s and Mrs. Sutherland&#8217;s students have been enjoying surprise guest readers each day!\u00a0 A new mystery reader\u2014perhaps a parent, grandparent, teacher, or staff member\u2014reads a special book, making storytime extra exciting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From engaging activities to inspiring books, National Reading Month is a special time for our school.
