Every year on the second Sunday after Pentecost, the Church observes the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, which translates from Latin to “body of Christ.” On Corpus Christi Sunday, the parishes of St. Anthony of Padua and Holy Spirit came together to show the faithful that, while both parishes have their own communities, charisms, and so on, we are called to be Pilgrims of Hope as one body of Christ. This special celebration took place at West Catholic High School, a well-known location for both parish communities.

Not only was bringing our two communities together meaningful to show our unity as one body of Christ, but the Eucharistic procession also served as a powerful witness to the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist!

We thank our communities for attending, as well as our clergy, volunteers, ministers, and the staff at West Catholic High School for their contributions to a beautiful celebration.
