About the Project

Thanks to your generous support at last year’s Auction for All and the dedicated partnership of our Home and School Association, our campus transformation is well underway. While work is ongoing, we are thrilled to share the incredible progress made over the spring and summer to build safer, higher-quality outdoor spaces and athletic fields for our students. 

Here is a breakdown of the improvements across our campus:

• Soccer Field Improvements
  • Turf & Maintenance: Fertilized and treated since last fall, with ongoing regular treatments scheduled for optimal playing conditions.
  • New Equipment: Added new soccer balls and field equipment.
  • Mowing Upgrades: Procured a new riding mower specifically for soccer field needs, allowing for a shorter grass height and twice-weekly cuts during the season (beyond our standard lawn contract).
  • Field Leveling: The playing surface will be rolled and leveled using an industrial road grader to eliminate ruts and divots, ensuring a safer, more competitive environment.
  • Field Lining: Regular season striping will continue through our GRACEAC field striping contractor.
• Baseball Field Upgrades
  • Field Excavation: Excavated in May to create a regular-sized diamond dust field while allowing the adjacent soccer field to widen.
  • Soil & Infield Care: Replaced excess ballfield dirt with a topsoil mixture better suited for grass growth, with annual infield weed treatments scheduled moving forward.
  • Outfield Reseeding: The outfield hydroseeded in May did not yield expected results and will be re-seeded this fall for thicker coverage.
  • Seating & Benches: Concrete pads for bleachers and team benches will be poured this fall. New team benches have arrived and will be installed once the concrete cures.
• Natural Playground Construction
  • Site Preparation: Graded and excavated the area over the summer, bringing in 350 yards of dirt to build the base for future play structures.
  • Tree Work & Upcycling: Removed 7 large Cottonwood trees and repurposed the large logs to build custom play structures.
  • Upcoming Features: Construction continues on the climbing and jumping structures. Upcoming: An area with covered seating pavilions and a new volleyball area.  If you missed the video on our social media yesterday, you can watch it here. 
  • Final Touches: The project will wrap up with new mulch, grass, and border edging.
• Playground
  • New equipment: Two new pieces of equipment were installed in the spring, and the children are enjoying the new tree climber and set of swings.
