Ash Wednesday | March 5

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a sacred season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving as we prepare our hearts for Easter. During Mass, we receive ashes on our foreheads as a sign of repentance and a reminder of our call to turn away from sin and follow the Gospel. Ash Wednesday is an opportunity to begin Lent with intention, to acknowledge our need for God’s mercy, and to recommit to growing in faith.

Ash Wednesday is a day of fasting and abstinence.

Schedule for Ash Wednesday:

Wednesday, March 5
• Mass with Distribution of Ashes at 8:30 AM

• Mass with Distribution of Ashes at 7:00 PM

Parish Mission | March 9 & 10

Ignite your faith this Lent! Our Parish Mission is a time for renewal, reflection, and a rekindling of our love for Christ. As we prepare for Easter, step away from the ordinary and experience the extraordinary grace of God’s mercy and forgiveness.

Father Charlie Hall, a dynamic and faith-filled priest with 45 years of pastoral experience, will lead us in reflecting on two of the most powerful Gospel passages of Lent—readings that reveal Christ’s deep love for us through reconciliation and healing. Individual Sacrament of Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Penance is a beautiful gift, offering us the chance to confess our sins, seek forgiveness, and experience the boundless mercy of Jesus Christ. In Confession, we bring our shortcomings before the Lord, not to face judgment, but to receive His healing grace and renewal of heart.

Lent is the perfect time to step into the loving embrace of God’s mercy. As we prepare for Easter, let us take this opportunity to free ourselves from the weight of sin, restore our relationship with Christ, and walk forward in His grace. No matter how long it has been or what is on your heart, Jesus is waiting for you in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Come and be renewed!

Confession times during Lent:
• Tuesdays at 5:30 PM

• Fridays at 6:30 PM
• Saturdays at 3:30 PM

The Light is ON for You: An Evening of Penance on Apr. 3

During The Light is ON For You, individual confession will be available from 5-8 p.m.

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross invite us to journey with Jesus in His final hours, from His condemnation to His death on the cross. This powerful Lenten devotion allows us to meditate on Christ’s immense love and sacrifice as we reflect on His suffering, His mercy, and His call to follow Him.

Through prayer, scripture, and reflection, the Stations help us enter more deeply into the mystery of our salvation. Whether you have prayed them for years or are experiencing them for the first time, this is an opportunity to quiet your heart, unite your suffering with Christ’s, and grow in faith this Lent.

Come walk with the Lord and let His love transform you.

Stations of the Cross during Lent:
• Fridays at 11 AM followed by a soup & salad lunch
• Fridays at 6:30 PM

Palm Sunday | April 13

Palm Sunday marks Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where the crowds welcomed Him with palm branches, proclaiming, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Matthew 21:9). This celebration begins Holy Week, the most sacred time of the year, as we journey with Christ through His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

At St. Anthony, we will begin Palm Sunday Mass with a special procession starting in the gymnasium. You are invited to set your belongings down in church and then walk to the gym, where we will bless the palms and commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem before processing together into the church.

Join us as we enter into this solemn and beautiful week, preparing our hearts for the Paschal Mystery of Christ.

It is the anniversary of the Last Supper, when Christ instituted the Eucharist, the Sacrifice of the Mass, and the sacrament of the priesthood. The central observance of Holy Thursday is the ritual reenactment of the Last Supper at Mass. This event is celebrated at every Mass, as part of the Liturgy of the Eucharist, but it is specially commemorated on Holy Thursday.

Also, during the Mass on Holy Thursday, the establishment of the priesthood is reenacted with the priest washing the feet of several parishioners. Be sure to bring some bells to ring during the Gloria at the Holy Thursday Mass.

Following Holy Thursday Mass, we will process into the Gymnasium for Adoration. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will continue in the gymnasium until 9:30 PM.
