Anointing of the Sick to be offered monthly on every first Saturday

Starting on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, St. Anthony will offer the sacrament of the anointing of the sick on the first Saturday of each month, immediately following the 4:30 p.m. Mass.

If you are struggling with an illness, have a surgery scheduled for later that month, battling an addiction, or simply need God’s gentle touch, please stay after Mass and gather around the front pews in the center aisle for a time of prayer, calling out for God’s healing Spirit.

As always, Father Tony is happy to celebrate this sacrament whenever it is needed. To set up an appointment either after a Mass or at another time, you may call the parish office or contact Father Tony via email (frtpelak@grpriests.org).

Is anyone among you suffering? He should pray. Is anyone in good spirits? He should sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.

James 5:13-15
