Coming soon: New communication platform to stay connected

In this ever-changing world of technology and communication, we are constantly looking at ways we can better serve and meet the needs of our growing parish. Communication is one of our most far-reaching ministries. It serves as the voice of our parish, sharing the Good News and keeping our 1,650 registered households and wider community informed of parish and diocesan news. We communicate through a variety of channels, including the weekly bulletin, parish website, social media, email, mailings, signage, and more. Our communication ministry also provides the livestream of weekend Masses and funeral liturgies, allowing our homebound and those distant to remain spiritually connected to our parish.

While we have many great communication tools for evangelizing, each of these platforms operates independently. Consequently, when parishioners have a change in contact information, typically not all of our platforms are updated with the most up-to-date information, which can prevent our offices and ministries’ ability to stay connected with our families.

We have been seeking more efficient ways to stay connected with our parish family, specifically looking for a system to host our family database, messaging tools, and secure online giving platform. The new system being user-friendly for parishioners was also a high priority in finding a solution.

After many months of researching different vendors, we have decided to move to Flocknote, a trusted Catholic communication platform used by thousands of parishes nationwide. Flocknote will also serve as our main parish database, allowing us to keep your contact information current, communicate more effectively, and offer easy access to online giving, event updates, and faith formation resources – all in one system. For parishioners, Flocknote will be primarily used to receive email or text notifications from the parish, as well as to easily manage online giving.

We are in the very early stages of moving to Flocknote, so please know that more detailed information is to come in August or September 2025. As with any new technology, we anticipate a few minor bumps along the way, but the parish office staff is committed to assisting you through the process. Thank you in advance for your continued support in making disciples of Christ through our communication efforts.
