Hello and welcome back!

Our 8th graders will be working hard to prepare a meaningful and engaging retreat for the 2nd–5th graders, and we’re excited to invite classes to participate! The retreats will take place in the Saints Room on Thursday, April 24:

• 2nd & 3rd graders: 8:30–9:30 AM
• 4th & 5th graders: 2:00–3:00 PM

The 8th graders will have everything ready to guide the experience. Each session will last about 60 minutes, and here’s a look at the schedule:

• Reflection & Journaling (5 min)
• Small Group Discussion (10 min)
• Commitment Activity (30 min)
• Closing Prayer (2 min)

Small Groups
To help create the best experience for everyone, 2nd-5th grade teachers, we’d love your help pairing students into small groups with their 8th-grade leaders. Please take a few minutes to fill out the spreadsheet with groupings that will set students up for success. Your insight will be invaluable in making sure the discussions and activities are productive and meaningful!

Calling all chili connoisseurs! Put your skills to the test at our Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, April 26, from 5-8 p.m. in the St. Anthony Gym. 🌶️

Sign up your team, and show us what you’ve got and win bragging rights competing for Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, People’s Choice, and Best Booth.

Guidelines:
- Chili is prepared at home and brought in your own crock pot/warmer. Please bring your own serving spoons.
- Gym will be open by 3pm for set up. Please arrive no later than 4:30 as doors open at 5:00.
- Samples for judging will be collected from each team around 5:15.
- A panel of judges (TBD in advance) will vote for the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion.
- A ticket will be given to tasters to cast their vote for People's Choice and Best Booth.

St. Anthony will provide:
- Cups and spoons, as tastings are purchased at 50¢ each.
- Table and electric for booth set up.

There is an award for best booth, so bring your own decorations, coverings, and creativity.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit St. Anthony Athletics.
