Why St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School?
There are many wonderful reasons thousands of families have chosen St. Anthony of Padua for their child’s education. Our school is an extension of our vibrant and loving community. It is a place where all are welcome, and a place for every person to feel they belong.
Our Catholic faith is the root of every lesson. Not only is our pastor a presence in our classrooms, but our teachers are all certified catechists from the Diocese of Grand Rapids. Prayer is a vital part of our daily life at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School. Students experience a variety of prayer forms, including the rosary, psalms, and song. Through outreach ministry programs, students demonstrate Catholic Social Justice Teachings.
We stand strong in academic excellence in the Catholic tradition, with test scores above the national average. Counseling, educational support services, accelerated and advanced options are available.
St. Anthony of Padua School is a Catholic Community with a 100-year tradition lived with youthful vitality. With a student population of almost 300 students, we offer an average class size of 15:1. Fostering each student’s strengths and aspirations, we host additional programs such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, choir, drama, and many more! Here, all are welcome!
The Catholic faith is the foundation of our school and the focus of our mission. The goal at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School is that faith is both learned and lived. St. Anthony of Padua partners with Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist in providing Disciples in Christ – Virtues Education Program. In addition, our Ministry Curriculum provides students at all grade levels an opportunity to provide service and outreach in our local community.
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School embraces the Catholic tradition of rigorous educational inquiry through a strong academic program that challenges and uplifts students. Theology, language arts, math, social studies, science, physical education, fine arts, technology, and music form the core curriculum. Spanish instruction begins in preschool and continues through 8th grade. Advanced classes are available in our middle school program. At each grade level, lessons are aligned to the Diocese of Grand Rapids Curriculum Standards.
Of course, our dedication to instilling strong Catholic values and rigorous, proven academic programs are the most cited points among parents – but often it is best to hear from them personally to fully appreciate the St. Anthony of Padua difference.

“I chose St. Anthony of Padua for my two children because I love the warm and welcoming environment and the kind and caring faculty and staff that are here every day. Without fail, my kids wake up and they are excited to go to school and they always come home with a smile on their faces. The school is truly a blessing for my family.”~ Joseph Petz, Parent ~
