Program Highlights
Faith-Based Learning: Our Catholic Faith is infused in all subject areas and teaching. Students learn Bible stories, pray daily, and learn songs about Jesus.
Staff: Each teacher at St. Anthony of Padua in the early childhood program is certified in Early Childhood, as well as CPR & First Aid. The experience the teachers bring to the classroom has a positive impact on the learning environment.
Parental Involvement: Parents are welcome in our classrooms. They are invited to participate in field trips, special occasions, or to volunteer. For the safety of the students, parents and volunteers need to complete paperwork for a background check prior to volunteering.
Childcare: Before and after school childcare is available to students for an additional hourly cost. School lunch is available for purchase at our Licensed Childcare Program.
Super Friends: Students are paired with a school-aged friend for special events throughout the year.
Field Trips: Students go on learning field trips throughout the year, including Blandford Nature Center, a St. Anthony partner in education.
Preschool
Each child is viewed as an individual created in the image and likeness of God. Teachers recognize that each student has uniquely different abilities and interests. The preschool experience will strive to meet each child’s individual needs and stimulate his/her learning physically, emotionally, spiritually, and cognitively. The activities are designed to develop the child’s self-esteem, and help him/her become aware of how special each child is in God’s eyes. The experiences in preschool will help students develop positive feelings toward learning and help to develop positive relationships with others. St. Anthony of Padua preschool staff recognizes that parents are the primary educators and offer parents the opportunity to be involved as their child grows in our Catholic learning environment.
