St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Community is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our parish staff as a servant leader—someone who is mission-driven, collaborative, and dedicated to serving our faith community.
Job responsibilities and duties include:
- Financial & Administrative Oversight: Ensures compliance with diocesan, legal, and parish financial procedures; manages payroll, invoices, banking, and donor records; oversees weekly collections, parish funds deposits, audits, vendor contracts, and major capital projects to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Human Resources Management: Partners with the pastor to develop and implement HR policies, job descriptions, evaluations, and training programs; maintains confidential personnel files and administers employee benefits in coordination with the Michigan Catholic Conference.
- Operational & Facilities Coordination: Oversees facilities maintenance, safety, and security procedures; collaborates with the facilities manager and vendors to ensure cost-effective operations and alignment with parish goals and diocesan standards.
- Leadership & Parish Collaboration: Supports the pastor, finance council, and school principal in goal setting, communications, and ministry coordination; oversees staff and volunteer operations; fosters a mission-driven, professional, and welcoming parish environment.
Qualifications:
- College undergraduate degree or equivalent required, with a major in business administration, accounting, or finance preferred
- Three to five years of experience in business or management with supervisory experience
- Catholic in good standing with a solid knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of the Catholic Church, its teachings, and culture.
Work environment:
Monday – Friday with occasional nights and weekends, including Sundays.
