In my free time I enjoy being outdoors – hiking, biking, kayaking, gardening, swimming, etc. I spend a lot of time with my extended family and also make sure I have time to read every day.

Short Biography:

My husband was in the army for 22 years, so after leaving Central Michigan University, my family and I enjoyed living in several places other than Michigan. My first teaching job was in 2nd grade for the Department of Defense in Bamberg, Germany. While living in Illinois, I worked as a teacher in preschool, elementary, middle and high school, and as a graduate assistant for the Special Education department at Southern Illinois University. We settled down in West Michigan in 2003 and I began working at St. Anthony in 2004. My husband and I have two adult daughters with families of their own.
